Vacationland Campground Site Map
Behavior:

Be respectful of others at all times, and be sure that any visitors or children do the same. Loud, rude, crude, or disrespectful behavior toward others or campground property / rules is not allowed.

Speed Limit:

5 MPH maximum. Never drive over 5 miles per hour in the campground.

Quiet Time:

By 9:00PM noise levels should be reasonably quiet. Between 11:00PM and 8:00AM, whisper quiet is mandatory.

Arrival Time:

No arrivals requiring set up allowed after 9:00PM.

Tools:

No power tools/equipment to be used after 5:00PM any time of year, or Friday after 1:30PM through Sundays at noon between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Lights:

No lights that illuminate space beyond your site borders may be used after 10:30PM.

Visitors:

Campers are responsible for their visitors’ actions and payment of their fee. Visitors must park in the visitors’ parking area. No visitor parking in the campground. Day visitor hours are 8:00AM - 9:00PM.

Children:

Parents must know where their children are and be responsible for their behavior at all times. Ages 6 and under must be escorted to and from restrooms.

Children at night:

Teen aged youth must be on an adult-supervised site by 10:00PM, younger children by dark.

Alcohol:

Alcoholic beverages may only be consumed at your campsite. Maine State Law prohibits anyone under the age of 21 to possess or consume alcoholic beverages or anyone to furnish alcoholic beverages to anyone under the age of 21.

Fireworks:

All fireworks are prohibited in the campground.

Trash:

Please deposit all normal garbage waste ONLY in the Dumpster located near visitor parking. Do not leave any trash or garbage anywhere on your site when you leave.

Bicycles:

Daylight hour use only. Do not ride after dark. Always wear a helmet.

Playground Equipment:

Our playground equipment is intended for people weighing 80 pounds or less. Do not change or alter any playground equipment.

Fires:

Do not move fireplaces. (Miles of underground high voltage power lines and water lines exist in the campground.) Never leave campfires unattended.

Garbage:

Do not leave food and/or drink waste or residue of any kind in fireplaces or exposed to the air. It attracts flies and other pests to the area.

Wastewater:

Maine State Law prohibits wastewater discharge onto the ground. We have a utility sink at each bathroom, and a dump station behind the lower bathroom (close to the campground entrance). All septic connections must be airtight. No waste is to be exposed or be able to have air contact in any way.

Vehicles:

One vehicle (two when given permission) per campsite. (Boats, boat trailers, and other additional vehicles must be stored or docked and appropriate fees paid.) Only people with a valid driver’s license are permitted to operate a motorized vehicle in the campground. Do not bring anything self-propelled or motorized into the campground itself, except registered vehicles/motorcycles during the summer season.

Parking:

Parking is allowed strictly at campsites or visitor parking. No roadside parking is allowed anywhere in the campground.

Swimming:

No swimming after dark. No diving off or swimming around the boat docks or swimmers’ raft.

Beach:

No one under 12 years of age should ever be on the beach, in the water, or on the boat docks without adult supervision in their immediate presence.

Fishing:

Never fish while on the boat docks or near the swimmers’ area. It is your responsibility to become aware of and stay compliant with fishing laws.

Trees & Other Plants:

Never remove branches or leaves of any kind from any trees or plants of any kind.

Pet Supplemental Requirements:
 
  • Visitors are not allowed to bring any pets.

  • Protective and/or aggressive pets are not welcome, so please do not bring them here. When detected, they will be required to leave immediately. The animal cannot be protective of any thing, or person in any way for any reason, ever.

  • Proof of current shots is required before any pet is brought into the campground.

  • If a pet creates a disturbance or is a nuisance it will be required to leave immediately.

  • Pets are not allowed to bark constantly or consistently.

  • Pets should never be left alone.

  • Always clean up after your pets. Pet waste must be placed in a tightly sealed trash bag and put in the dumpster. Never rake waste into piles to be left on the ground.

  • Never have pets on the beach or playground.

  • Pets should be on a short leash at all times and to remain tied on a strong durable chain that will not allow the pet to extend toward the edge of the site in any direction.

  • No more than 2 pets per site allowed.

  • Children are not allowed to walk pets.

  • No pets allowed in any buildings or facilities of the campground.

  • If you need clarification of any requirements, it is your responsibility to get them from campground management only.

  • We reserve the right to refuse entry into the campground of any person(s) or pets without explanation or reason.

We have the right to change anything at any time and have the changes prevail.

Persons using Vacationland Campground do so at their own risk and they assume full responsibility for injury or illness occurring to them or members of their party. Vacationland Campground assumes no responsibility or liability for lost, damaged, or stolen property occurring to anyone while on its grounds or in its facilities. Any violation of the Rules by Campers or his/her party, including the failure to pay any applicable charge when due, will (i) terminate Camper’s right to use the Site or store his/her property or equipment at Vacationland Campground, (ii) may subject Camper to immediate eviction without notice or refund, and (iii) will subject Camper to any repair or replacement costs of anything deemed necessary by Vacationland Campground.
